Actors Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan are set to headlining a romantic comedy film, directed by Laxman Utekar.
The film, whose title has not yet been titled, marks the third collaboration between the director and filmmaker Dinesh Vijan after ” Luka Chuppi ” and ” Mimi ”.
“We have Vicky and Sara for a romantic comedy. He’s based at MP, maybe Ujjain or Gwalior. It’s a love story in a small town, like my previous films, in which I had a social message, ” Utekar told PTI.
The cinematographer and director said he wanted to explore a new couple for his new project.
“ I’ve always wanted to work with Vicky. He’s such a fantastic performer. I am a fan of him. Sara has something in her and for this film she is fit, she is going to kill it.
“They are a new couple and they will create some magic,” he said, adding that he was finalizing the rest of the cast for the film. Starting next week, the cast will have a dialect reading session to get a taste of the city, Utekar said.
The film will hit floors in November on a start-to-end schedule. The creators plan to release it in 2022 in theaters. Kaushal is currently preparing for the release of his upcoming film “Sardar Udham”, which will debut on Amazon Prime Video in October.
Khan, who has appeared in films like ” Kedarnath ”, ” Love Aaj Kal ” and ” Coolie No 1 ”, will next be seen in ” Atrangi Re ” by filmmaker Aanand L Rai, starring Dhanush. and Akshay Kumar.
