From talking about the challenges of raising her daughter Masaba Gupta on her own as a single mother to her year-long first marriage, Neena uncovered several untold details for an unfiltered glimpse into her life beyond fame. The book was a big hit and could make its big screen debut soon.
Although Neena Gupta is yet to finalize the plans for the biopic, she told Indian Express that she just had her first meeting to discuss the film proposal. “Let’s see what happens,” she said and added that she didn’t have an actor in mind to try her out in the movie. “My opinion doesn’t matter. The producer will decide who is fit for this. I can’t interfere and I haven’t even thought about it yet,” she explained.
Speaking about the autobiography, she previously told Hindustan Times, “The media don’t know me. No one knows the real me. Aur main acting koi nahin kar rahi. I’m talking about the story of my life, which is told by me and not by the media. It is pure from my heart. So jahan meri zindagi mein drama hai, wahan bata diya, aur jahan nahin, wahan pe chhod diya. Jhoota drama thodi laungi (So I included the drama parts and the non-drama parts too. I can’t make anything up).
Neena Gupta will next be seen in Panchayat 2 alongside Jitendra Kumar and Raghubir Yadav. Directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra, it will be released on May 20 on Amazon Prime.
