Nandamuri Balakrishna calls on Tollywood to unite on movie ticket price issue

The seasoned actor said there is no difference between a small movie and a big movie.

Recently, filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma criticized the government after his meeting with Minister Perni Nani was inconclusive.

Telugu movie star Nandamuri Balakrishna called on the whole industry to fight together on the issue of movie ticket pricing in Andhra Pradesh. During the virtual thank you meeting for his film’s success Akhanda on January 12, the actor suggested that the Telugu film industry come together to resolve this issue.

Balakrishna called on the film fraternity to cooperate and comply with the decisions of the two Telugu-speaking states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

The seasoned actor said there is no difference between a small movie and a big movie. He added that if a big movie is a flop movie it is called a small movie and if a small movie is a hit movie it is called a big movie.

The Akhanda star has expressed concern that millions of people depend on the industry for jobs and called on the government of Andhra Pradesh to find a solution to the problem quickly.

The Andhra Pradesh government’s proposal to cap the price of movie tickets in theaters has snowballed in Tollywood. Several filmmakers and big stars of the Telugu film industry, including Chiranjeevi, Nani and Pawan Kalyan, have raised concerns. Recently, filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma engaged on Twitter with Cinematography Minister Perni Nani after his meeting with the minister on the matter was inconclusive.

Ram Gopal Varma has slammed the government in a series of tweets for capping the price of movie tickets in the state. He also said indirectly that he would take the issue to the national level.

According to reports, the committee was formed after the order of the High Court met to discuss the issue of movie ticket prices and members gathered views from distributors, producers and d ‘other industry stakeholders. A ticket price report will be submitted to the government shortly.
