Jake Gyllenhaal to star in next Guy Ritchie movie at Miramax – deadline

EXCLUSIVE: After good reviews for his new Netflix movie, The guilty, and a big night out at the Tonys, Jake Gyllenhaal seems to have found his next movie while in negotiations to star in the untitled new Guy Ritchie movie. The film will be produced by Miramax with writing and directing by Ritchie.

Not much is known about the photo, other than that it fits Ritchie’s visual style that audiences have loved for years. Sources say it will be Gyllenhaal’s next film as it is slated to be shot at the end of the year.

Gyllenhaal continues to be one of Hollywood’s busiest stars on multiple fronts, starting with her Netflix thriller The guilty. The film premiered at the Toronto Film Festival with Gyllenhaal winning another round of positive reviews for his performance. The film recently bowed to Netflix on October 1.

He also recently had a great evening at the 2021 Tony Awards, earning nominations for lead actor for his work on Sea wall / A life as well as two producer nominations; one for Sea wall / A life and one for Slave game. The next step for Gyllenhaal is his action thriller Ambulance edited by Michael Bay. The first sequence aired at CinemaCon and wowed audiences in August and will bow in 2022.

He is replaced by WME and lawyer Carlos Goodman.
