Injustice relies on both Injustice: Gods Among Us video game and Injustice comic series. It takes place in a world in which the Joker kills Lois Lane, enraging Superman and causing him to abandon his values. After assassinating the Joker, the Man of Steel gathers an army of Earth heroes and creates a world police state in the name of peace. In response, Batman assembles his own team and attempts to take the planet back from the paranoid Kryptonian.

Due to the incredible scale of Injustice, the animated film features a great ensemble cast. Laura Bailey as Lois Lane and Rama Kushna, Zach Callison as Damian Wayne and Jimmy Olsen, Brian T. Delaney as Green Lantern, Justin Hartley as Superman, Edwin Hodge as Mr. Terrific and Killer Croc, Oliver Hudson as Plastic Man, Gillian Jacobs as Harley Quinn, Yuri Lowenthal as Mirror Master, Brandon Michael Hall as Cyborg, Flash and Shazam, Anson Mount as Batman, Derek Phillips as Nightwing and Aquaman, Kevin Pollack as Joker and Janet Varney as Wonder Woman.

After the success of Injustice: Gods Among Us in 2013, DC released a comic book adaptation that widened the world. Featuring the talent of creators Tom Taylor, Bruno Redondo, Kevin Maguire and more, the series has been incredibly well received and spawned a plethora of sequels. The popularity of these titles has also proven to be a resource for the DCEU, inspiring key designs for James Gunn’s The suicide squad and the portrayal of Supergirl in Andy Muschietti Flash.

In addition to the upcoming release of Injustice Animated Movie, NetherRealm Studios Creative Director Ed Boon’s Announcement Appearing At DC FanDome Throws Fans On The Perspective Of A Potential Third Injustice Game. The series has been dormant since the last DLC rolled out for Injustice 2 at the start of 2018, while the mobile version has been pushing for updates constantly since its launch. Anyone interested in the future of the franchise should mark their schedule for Saturday, October 16, when DC FanDome premieres live.
