SCOTTVILLE — West Shore Community College’s Humankind Series is teaming up with the Vogue Theater in Manistee for a miniseries of films tied to its theme for the year, “the future of work.”

“We’re delighted to once again partner with the WSCC humankind series on a number of films that address this year’s theme of ‘the future of work,'” said Vogue volunteer and services manager Kelsey Rhodes. “There is a rich tradition in filmmaking of depicting the history of work and predicting what the future of work might look like. We believe the diversity of films we have chosen for the series reflects this tradition well. We look forward to sharing the opportunity for our community to reflect more deeply on the topic of work in American society.”

The schedule is as follows:

  • 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. October 5, “Modern Times” (1936 comedy)
  • 7 p.m. on October 11, “Radium Girls” (2018 drama)
  • 7 p.m. Oct. 21, “Snowpiercer” (2013 sci-fi/action)
  • 10 a.m. and 7 p.m., “American Psycho” (comedy/horror 2000)

All films are free and open to everyone. Each movie also includes free pop and popcorn for each attendee.
