Hocus Pocus 2 Photo Set Reveals First Look at New Disney + Movie

Production on the highly anticipated Hocus pocus 2 seems to start very soon because the construction of the set has been spotted on the spot. Photos of the entire suite were spotted in Lincoln, Rhode Island and posted to Twitter earlier this week, showing construction began on what looks like houses. Maybe they’ll be ready in time for filming to start in October. The valley breeze, a local publication, has more details on the set, revealing that “Fairy Dust Productions Representatives” recently presented Lincoln City Council with the set they wanted to build in the grounds of Chase Farm.

“Think: Plymouth Plantation,” site manager Alex Berard reportedly told city council of the plans. “We just love the backdrop for Chase Farm. She has that old New England farmhouse look. The Valley Breeze went on to reveal that Berard and his team described the sets they would build in the park as “a village from the 1600s, with facades of two-story buildings.” They further revealed that a “controlled burn” would take place in one of their buildings, which perhaps means we’ll see a throwback to the Sanderson sisters’ early days in the film.

It was previously confirmed that Hocus pocus 2 will debut in 2022 and will feature the return of Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy to the roles they played in the original 1993 film. Hocus pocus 2, three young women “accidentally bring the Sanderson sisters back to today’s Salem and must find a way to stop child-hungry witches from wreaking havoc on the world.”

Proposal and 27 dresses Director Anne Fletcher will direct the sequel, succeeding Adam Shankman, who will step up as executive producer. The film will be produced by Lynn Harris with Ralph Winter and David Kirschner as executive producer. Steven Halt will be co-producer.

“Now more than ever, people need to laugh. We should be laughing every day, and there is so much fun to be had with these three amazing women playing delicious characters from such a beloved movie,” Fletcher said in a statement. “I’m so grateful to be able to play a part in the resurrection of these witches, and working with my friends again at Disney makes it all the more special. It’s a movie for everyone, fans who have grown up. with the first movie going to the next generation of viewers, and I can’t wait to get started. “
