Movie lovers must have a new temporary cinema.
The venue will be Loreburn Hall and pop-up screens will open in April with Sing 2 and Encanto.
The 11-month trial will see weekly screenings of family films, new releases and streaming performances from the National Theatre.
Films will include The Nan Movie, Sonic 2, Phantom of the Open and Ambulance, all of which will premiere later in April.
The Dumfries site will host an 80-seat sofa cinema experience where audiences can relax in stylish surroundings while enjoying a beer or other beverages.
It will be performed in collaboration with the support company INDY cinema.
Allison McLellan, Operations Manager at Big Burns Supper, said: “We are delighted to bring Loreburn Hall back for public use and our new pop-up cinema project will help give our community access to even more culture by more of the rescheduled festival. events that now take place throughout the year.
“Our volunteers worked for six months to get the hall ready and we can’t wait to show Dumfries what we’ve been working on. This has been a passionate project by our community, for our community.
Loreburn Hall’s cinema, Newall Terrace, opens on Monday 11 April with screenings of Encanto and Sing 2.
Films in April also include: The Nan Movie, April 13-14; Sonic 2, April 15, 16 and 17; Phantom of the Open, April 15, 16 and 17; and Ambulance, April 22, 23 and 24.
National Theater Scotland: Henry V, will be on April 21
Screenings will resume in May after a short hiatus as rescheduled Big Burns Supper shows run from April 29 to May 1 with their tribute sessions including Status Quo Experience, Bob Marley Experience, The Complete Stone Roses, Mercury and Abba Revive.
