The EnergaCamerimage international cinematic film festival unveiled its main competition lineup, including ElvisWhite Noise, Top Gun: Maverick and Empire of Lightwhich will open the 30th edition.
cameraimageorganized each year in Poland, has also included in its main competition the cinematographic work of All Quiet on the Western Front, War Sailor, Tár, The Perfect Number and The angel in the wall. The international festival has become an indicator of what’s to come in the race for the Oscars for cinema.
cameraimage announced earlier than Sam Mendes‘ Empire of Light, photographed by Roger Deakins, will open the 2022 edition to be held November 12-19 in Toruń, Poland. Mendes will also receive the Krzysztof Kieslowski Special Director’s Award during the festival.
Also previously announced, Oscar-nominated cinematographer Stephen Burum (Hoffa) will receive the Camerimage Lifetime Achievement Award at this year’s festival.
