The Gateway Twin Cinema is back and ready to serve you with a fresh new look. The Gateway Twin Cinema has been providing affordable family entertainment to the Clinton community for over 40 years. With the demise of small town cinemas in rural America over the past two decades due to low profit margins, improved road infrastructure, and the transition from film projectors to digital projectors, Clinton has been fortunate enough to ” have a community-minded owner who understands the value our theater offers.

Sid and Judy King began their adventure in the world of cinema in 1976 when they purchased the local theater located on Griggs Street in historic downtown Clinton. The Kings took up residence in the old theater for eight years, and while it was functioning well with around 200 seats, the need for a new location was obvious. In 1984, the Kings built their current theater at 3008 Highway 65. Their new location increased audience size, installed a second screen, and allowed for overall improvements across the board.

The Gateway Twin Cinema is open Monday through Saturday with regular screenings at 7:30 p.m. Adult tickets cost $ 8 and children 12 and under are admitted for $ 5. Morning screenings take place at 2 p.m. on Sundays where $ 5 wins admission for all ages. Still looking for a deal? Gateway also has its Wednesday night special where moviegoers receive free popcorn and soft drinks with every ticket purchased. With the most recent movies airing weekly and the sound, picture and refurbished seats, you can watch the same primer with the same experience in your hometown for a fraction of the price.
