He sent delegations of officials to different cities across the country, where they meet with stakeholders and brief them on packages and products that the tourism department has prepared for the seasons.
Officials are also briefing representatives of the tourism and travel industry on the readiness of the J&K administration and tourism stakeholders in terms of the Covid-19 protocol and the precautions they are taking. According to the administration, 95 percent of people engaged in the tourism industry have been vaccinated and more vaccination campaigns and capacity building programs are in sight.
Stakeholders were informed about tourism products and the upcoming 75 festivals that are expected to be organized in J&K soon. The tourism department is also planning a vigorous advertising campaign in major cities across the country. In addition, a festival calendar for the next three months has been established, including the fall and winter festivals.
Telugu filmmakers have shown keen interest in exploring J&K as a shooting destination for films, after meeting with tourism officials in Hyderabad, people familiar with the matter said.
J&K tourism officials also briefed stakeholders in different cities on several national level golf tournaments scheduled for the next two months.
