âNot Versatilityâ – keeping this slogan in mind, the 1st Polish Film Festival of the Vistula in Bangladesh – 2021 will be held in Bangladesh.
This five-day long film festival will be organized by the WSPIERAM Foundation in association with the International Academy of Film and Media (IAFM) and supported by the Polish Film Institute.
Bangladeshi moviegoers and moviegoers will have the opportunity to watch movies and enjoy the festival for free in Mojeekino (https://mojeekino.pl/en/) from September 22, 2021 to September 26, 2021.
Ten Polish films will be screened at the festival in the categories feature films, short films, documentaries and contemporary films.
In addition, it will be possible to attend masterclasses, lectures and film conferences on Polish cinemas by internationally renowned film intellectuals. The academic session will include masterclasses titled “Cinematography: Women Behind the Camera” by Polish cinematographer Weronika Bilska as well as another lecture titled Introduction of Polish Cinema by Professor Sanjay Mukhopadhyay, Indian writer, teacher, critic and theorist.
The groundbreaking ceremony will take place at 7:00 p.m. on September 22, 2021 on the official IAFM Facebook page, a press release read.
On behalf of the IAFM, filmmaker Anarya Murshid said: The opening will take place in the presence of the Executive Director of the IAFM, Mr. Bibesh Roy; the coordinator of the Polish Film Festival of the Vistula, Roksana Pietruczanis; the public relations manager of the Polish Vistula Film Festival, Marlena OchoÅska; and the famous film producer, distributor and honorable president of the IAFM, Mr. Mirza Abdul Khalek.
